Connect Linear to Camber

Connect Linear to Camber so your team can mention or assign Camber on a Linear issue. Camber starts a session with the issue context, reports its status in Linear, and adds a link to the full Camber session.

Install the integration

ℹ️
Only a Camber Team Leader can connect or disconnect Linear.

Tasks started from Linear count toward the connected Camber team’s quota. Choose the correct team before connecting.
  1. Open Data Connectors.
  2. Confirm that the page shows Connectors for team name for the team you want to connect.
  3. Find Linear and select the card.
  4. In Linear, select the workspace you want to connect.
  5. Review the requested permissions and select Authorize.

Linear returns you to Camber. The integration is ready when Linear appears under My Connections.

One Linear workspace can be connected to only one Camber team at a time. If the workspace is already connected, its current Camber Team Leader must disconnect it first.

Use Camber in Linear

  1. Open a Linear issue.
  2. Mention @Camber in a comment and describe the work, or assign the issue to Camber.
  3. Wait for Camber is picking this up. in the agent session.
  4. Use the Camber Session link to open the full session in Camber.
  5. Send follow-up instructions in the same Linear agent session.

Camber posts Camber has finished this task. when the run completes.

Disconnect Linear

  1. In Camber, select the team that owns the connection.
  2. Open Data Connectors.
  3. Find Linear under My Connections.
  4. Select Disconnect.

Only a Leader of the connected Camber team can disconnect Linear.

Troubleshooting

The Linear card cannot be selected

Switch to the correct Camber team and confirm that you are a Leader. Team members who are not Leaders can use an existing connection but cannot add or remove one.

Camber cannot finish the installation

Confirm that your Camber email matches an active user in the Linear workspace and that the workspace is not already connected to another Camber team.

A teammate cannot start a Camber session

Confirm that the teammate:

  • Uses the same email address in Camber and Linear.
  • Belongs to the connected Camber team.
